Bob indeed had begun to panic. The heat was now on between he and Negan like there never had been before. He shouldn’t have frozen the way that he had . He should have just taken the extra shots when he had failed. He had panicked because of their reactions. Their screams had been unearthly, haunting and unreal. It had him frozen. He had sworn that he had seen fangs on them both. Those canines weren’t normal. Had he been seeing things? He didn’t know because he certainly had heard their cries and those were unmistakable. Even the animals had taken flight. What was quiet moments before, the woods seemed to have come alive in its own panic once Officer Howlett dropped to his knees in an injured scream. Negan would know who had done it too. There would be no guessing game. He should have just shot him dead but he didn’t. He now regretted it. Once Negan had led Officer Howlett out of the woods, Bob was on the hustle. He had to get his stand out of the tree and to erase any trac...
It was rounding up towards midnight when he pulled up in his new driveway. It had been a long haul up from the city. His back was tight and his eyes were strained from staring threw the windshield wipers and misty rain. Rolling his broad shoulders back, he unbuckled his seat belt and looked out at his riverside cabin threw the beams of his yellow head lights. “Home.” He said to himself with relief and turned the ignition key back towards himself and killed the lights. Perfect he thought to himself and swung out his cab door for his thick legs to pour out. The dome light that shone above the rear view mirror illuminated the brim of his ball cap and not much else as the repetitive dinging bell reminded him that his keys w...
Negan had entered his kitchen having over heard his staff being unusually excited over something. He had had a long night and even though he now felt fully restored physically, his mind was wrecked and he just wanted things to be quiet. He knew that two things had to happen. One, he needed to make it very clear to Cash that he needed to go along with what his chief had planned for him because defending him would only put himself in danger. He knew that Cash could handle his own but there was also serious power in numbers and with Cash living out in the middle of the woods made him a sitting duck and such an easy target. The Mackey’s would kill him without a second thought and the chief would undoubtedly look the other way. He was not willing to risk Caah’s life. Cash had already proven himself now twice to him and that’s all that mattered. The second thing that needed to be stopped before it could even begin was any sort of relationship between them both. Being friends was also n...
